Terms of Use

By entering and using the premises of Amsterdam, located at Corkwood Square – 42 Union Avenue, Kariega (Uitenhage), South Africa, 6229, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

Amsterdam is a café operated by Amsterdam Commercial Projects (PTY) LTD. We are licensed for:

  • On-and-Off Consumption of Liquor (Reg: ECP28560/90454/OO).
  • Licence to Carrying on a Business (Reg: EFT/15/03/26).
  • Certificate of Acceptability for Food Premises under the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.

Amsterdam enforces a strict Rights of Admission Reserved policy. Entry to our premises is not a guarantee of service, privilege, or entitlement beyond those provided under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse entry or service to any individual.
  • Remove individuals from the premises for disorderly behaviour, non-compliance with our policies, or conduct that endangers staff or patrons.

Amsterdam is a strictly no smoking premises in accordance with Notice No. R. 975 of 2000 Relating to Smoking of Tobacco Products in Public Places.

  • Patrons are not allowed to smoke on the premises.
  • Any fines incurred by Amsterdam due to non-compliance will be the responsibility of the offending patron.
  • Alcohol may only be consumed by persons 18 years and older.
  • Alcohol may only be served after 10am.
  • Patrons are expected to drink responsibly.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol at any time.

Amsterdam is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained on the premises except where required by law. Patrons enter at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings.
